The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is an essential tool for obtaining specific information on hazard characteristics and for defining the safety measures required when using substances and mixtures in the workplace. In recent years, SDSs have undergone significant updates while retaining their 16-section structure, in compliance with the REACh Regulation (Regulation 1907/2006), the CLP Regulation (Regulation 1272/2008) and, more recently, Regulation 2020/878, which set new requirements for compiling safety data sheets.
The course gives participants the technical skills to verify SDS compliance, examining each of the 16 sections in detail with particular focus on regulatory updates. Through practical examples, participants will learn to interpret SDS information correctly and understand its implications for chemical risk assessment under Legislative Decree 81/2008.
