Worker Safety Training Course – General Part (Pursuant to Article 37 of Legislative Decree 81/08 and the State-Regions Agreement)
Description
General safety training is the essential first step in building a prevention culture in the workplace. Article 37 of Legislative Decree 81/08 requires employers to provide all workers with adequate training covering the basic concepts of health and safety.
The course lasts 4 hours, as required for all production sectors by the State-Regions Agreement of 21 December 2011. It covers the key principles of risk, harm, prevention and protection, safety organisation within the company, and the rights and duties of the various parties involved.
Through a clear and interactive approach, participants will develop greater awareness of their active role in the prevention system, helping to improve both individual and collective safety.

1. Concepts of risk, harm, prevention and protection:
- Definitions and meaning of fundamental terms.
- Relationship between hazard and risk.
- Prevention and protection measures.
2. Organisation of company prevention:
- The company safety system.
- Role of the employer, manager, supervisor and workers.
- The Prevention and Protection Service, the competent physician, and the Workers’ Safety Representative (RLS).
3. Rights, duties and sanctions for company personnel:
- Obligations and responsibilities of workers.
- Rights to training, information and consultation.
- Sanctioning system and liability in the event of non-compliance.
4. Inspection, surveillance and assistance bodies:
- Who the inspection and surveillance bodies are and what they do.
- Duties of the ASL, the Labour Inspectorate and the Fire Service.
- Support functions of institutional bodies.
